Blood Donation Camp

 Sh. A.S. Chatha, IAS, Chief Secretary (Retd.), Punjab, who was the Guest of Honour, said, “Donating blood is a humanitarian gesture that can help in saving someone’s life. I am happy to see that WWICS has planned something so special to mark the Canada Day.” He added that every healthy human should donate blood regularly.

Congratulating WWICS for the noble act, Jaswant Kaur of Baba Sheikh Farid Blood Donors Council, who is a star blood donor whose name is recorded in the Limca Book of records for donating blood over 100 times, said that the gesture of the employees would make a lot of difference to someone in need. All the arrangements for the Doctors, nurses and equipment for collection of blood was done under the aegis of Jaswant Kaur.

Quebec Investor Program to re- open on August 1

In a major move aimed at helping business persons, investors and budding entrepreneurs wishing to settle in the Quebec province of Canada, the immigration authorities have announced to re- open the Quebec Investor Program on August 1, 2013. This program is designed to attract potential investors and entrepreneurs to help in the economic development of the Maple Country and generate employment.

Only 1,750 applications will be accepted under this Program with a maximum of 1200 applications per country. All the applications from the Asian countries will be accepted in BIQ Hong Kong territory. The order of priority of processing the applications would be on the basis of a random draw. The Program will open only for 16 days which means that the applications should reach the authorities in between August 1 and August 16, 2013 by ‘Regular Mail’ only.
