Sh. A.S. Chatha, IAS, Chief Secretary (Retd.), Punjab, who was the Guest of Honour, said, “Donating blood is a humanitarian gesture that can help in saving someone’s life. I am happy to see that WWICS has planned something so special to mark the Canada Day.” He added that every healthy human should donate blood regularly.
Congratulating WWICS for the noble act, Jaswant Kaur of Baba Sheikh Farid Blood Donors Council, who is a star blood donor whose name is recorded in the Limca Book of records for donating blood over 100 times, said that the gesture of the employees would make a lot of difference to someone in need. All the arrangements for the Doctors, nurses and equipment for collection of blood was done under the aegis of Jaswant Kaur.
